Hey guys! Today I’m going to be sharing what I listened to this month! I’ll leave a link for the Spotify playlist I’ve made, and I’ll link last month’s as well if you’re interested!

Where has my summer gone? It feels like it’s been forever since I launched my blog, but in reality, it just been over a month. How fast time has gone by. If you’re new, you might not know that I switched platforms. I originally had my blog on Blogger, but I finally bit the bullet and switched over to WordPress.

Anyway, let’s talk about music and podcasts! Comment down below if you’ve heard any of these songs or listened to these podcasts and which one is your favorite. I’m also always looking for music and podcast suggestions, so don’t hesitate to let me know what your current favorite song or podcast that isn’t on this list is!

Cimorelli – I Love You, Or Whatever

Cimorelli is a music group made up of six sisters and this is their latest album that released on August 1st. I’ve been listening to them for a couple of months now, and I can confidently say that they are a very underrated group of musicians. Each of their albums has a focus, and their songs are based around that.

For this album, my favorite song is ’32 Degrees.’ Although, all of the songs are amazing to jam out to.

Jonas Blue ft. Jack & Jack – Rise

At first, I wasn’t a fan of the song, but the more I listened to it the more I became addicted. I especially like the background music and the beats. This is a feel good song and I think I’ll be listening to it for a while.

One thing I will say is that in the music video he could have featured homosexual couples. That was a missed opportunity and something I noticed pretty quickly.

TÏesto and Dzeko ft. Preme and Post Malone – Jackie Chan

Post Malone has been my new favorite artist recently. I will admit I don’t quite understand any of his songs, but they’re all amazing so I will continue to listen to him.

Gryffin, Elley Duhé – Tie Me Down

Cause nobody wins this waiting game

You push and you pull, but you should stay

This is probably my favorite song of the month. I can’t decide between this one and 32 Degrees. This was one of those songs that were on repeat all month-long. The lyric video is a dance video, and I particularly liked the step for the lines above. I highly recommend that you check this song out!

Alan Walker, Au/Ra, Tomine Harket – Darkside

I usually listen to my music on Spotify, and while writing this post I type in the song on YouTube to see if there’s a music video so that I can include my thoughts on that as well. So I did that for this song, and this is actually part of a series called ‘World Of Walker,’ and it’s a trilogy of music videos which follow a story. The videos are shot beautifully and I wouldn’t mind seeing the story come to life in a book or movie.

Alan Walker ft. Gavin James – Tired (Prologue)

Alan Walker – All Falls Down (feat. Noah Cyrus with Digital Farm Animals) (Episode 1)

Alan Walker, Au/Ra, Tomine Harket – Darkside (Episode 2)

It’s set in a dystopian world, and science fiction elements are added in the first episode. I can’t wait to see the final one! Highly recommend that you check this videos out!

Martin Garriz ft. Bonn – High On Life

While searching in the Top Hits Spotify playlist, I stumbled upon this song and happened to like it so I added to my playlist. Now as I’m watching the music video, I have two thoughts.

The stage is enormous and really cool. This music video style is very common but they tweaked it a little and I like it.

The ending was kind of disappointing because huge amounts of fireworks were released. It just sucks to see that the visual effect matters more than the environment. Because of this, I don’t think I’ll be listening to this song because every time it plays all I think about are how harmful those fireworks were. It was a good song while it lasted.

MAX ft. Joey Bada$$ – Still New York

This song really warmed my soul because New York is my dream city. I really want to live there after college graduation, so I’m working toward it. I also really like the song.

DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper – No Brainer

There had to be a popular song on this list. I don’t care what people say about Justin Bieber. This song is a bop.

The Chainsmokers ft. Emily Warren

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this song, but I’ve listened to it a few times so I had to include it on this list. Camila Mendes is in this video, and I could barely watch the video because I kept thinking of her as Veronica from Riverdale. Let me know your thoughts on this song and all of the ones on this list!

Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa – One Kiss

This song is so addicting, but I cannot stand the music video. I had to pause midway and I couldn’t continue watching. It’s so ugh. I think cringe is what I’d use to describe the feeling.

Meghan Trainor – Let You Be Right

I really liked this song, and I’m sad to see that she’s not as popular anymore because she still makes amazing music. If you haven’t heard this song yet, please go listen to it!

Kiira – Gloe

This is like her old content. She did something different with Messy, and I really liked that song. This song is cool too, but I’ve only listened to it once so I’m not obsessed like I have been with some of her other songs.

Now I’ll briefly mention the podcasts I’ve been listening to. I’ve gotten into them lately, so leave me some recommendations below!

Barnes and Noble YA Podcast

I have been listening to this podcast ever since it released, but I forgot to include it in my blog post last month, so, it’s here now! Melissa Albert, who is the author of Hazel Wood and the editor of the B&N Teen blog, hosts it. They feature a YA author, and it’s cool to listen to them talk about their journey and inspiration and all sorts of stuff. If you like YA, I definitely recommend that you give it a listen!

Gals On The Go

You guys will see more of this type of content in later blog posts, but this podcast features Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan, and basically they talk about a certain topic for an hour. If you like #girlboss stuff, beauty, lifestyle, and that kind of stuff you’ll like their content.

And that’s what I listened to this month! I liked most of the songs on here, and I’d love to your thoughts! Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite. I’ll link this month’s and last month’s playlist here, so feel free to go check those out and follow!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post! Please leave a comment so I can show my appreciation! Hope you have/had a good day!
