I’m extremely behind on Marvel movies, but I saw that this was on my list on Netflix, so I decided to give it a try.

I still think Black Panther is the best Marvel movie, but this one comes close to the top. It differentiates from other Marvel movies from the fact that it deals with mystical forces rather than physical ones.

Stephen Strange is a doctor who gets into a car accident at the beginning of the film. The nerves in his hands have been damaged, so he hands keep shaking and he can barely use them. His physical therapist tells him about someone who has also recovered from an accident, so he goes to that man. That man refers him to a place called ‘Kamar-Taj’, which is in Kathmandu. Doctor Strange goes to that place, and from there begins the journey of him saving the world from a being called ‘Dormammu,’ who seeks to take over Earth.

I was engrossed throughout the whole film. The plot was very interesting, but I felt that the characters were as perfect as they could possibly be. This is a recurring theme in Marvel movies and even action movies in general. It’s something I pick up on early on, which kind of ruins the movie experience for me.

Overall, I liked the film, but I feel like Marvel could do something better, something more unique.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post! Please leave a comment so I can show my appreciation! Hope you have/had a good day!
